Similiarly, I am proud to call myself a broadchurchman because I believe that the broad church, more than the ‘high’ and ‘low’ branches, most exemplify the via media - or middle way or middle path - that the Anglican church has chosen for itself (catholic and reformed) and which makes it the most tolerant church in christendom, without compromising its apostolic, episcopal, scriptural and spiritual roots. I am glad we have shed many of the pagan and other traditions of the romish church and at the same time not embracing the ancient heresies of some newer, modern, younger churches, some of them our own wayward children, misled by misinterpretation and man-made misrepresentations of scripture and rootless traditions. Even so in our tolerance, and not to offend younger and weaker brothers - as the scriptures warn us - we still permit high church and low church practices, while at the same time, in policy, never condemning other churches and denominations, even though we know that that our longevity is based not only on the grace of God, through His Son Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit, and our tolerance, but that unlike many churches we are grounded in sure and sound doctrine! http://anglicans.peperonity.com Anglican Layman
